A gentle warning.

Beware!
2 Peter (total)

As I sat comfortably in my chair, talking with the Lord, reading this letter from the Apostle Peter, I felt the urge to share his words of warning with you, my family and friends.  His words of warning are so completely in touch with today’s culture. It is almost frightening to think how we Christian believers could possibly be enticed to go astray from the teachings of our Lord, even as so many have done throughout the course of history.

The words which Peter has written, through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, are all sufficient. There is no need for me to enlarge upon them, simply read them, praying  that your heart will open to the truth which is given to us, and then take action to insure that you have and are being obedient to all which the Lord has required of us, especially Chapter 1: 5-8.

Chapter 3:9; The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is long suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Yes, the events written in chapter 3 will happen, when the time is full and as the Lord sees fit, for since the beginning of creation, our God is in charge of all things.  He gave the man which he created the right of choice, but added a result for each choice which he, and we, make in our life time.  Now is the day, the time, for each of us to make sure that we are and have made the choice that will let us spend eternity with our loving Creator and Lord.

17 You, therefore, beloved, seeing you know these things before, beware lest you also, being lead away with the error of the wicked fall from your own steadfastness.  18. But grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  To Him be glory both now and forever.
