"The Lord shall guide thee continually." Isa. 58:11
Have you lost your way? Are you concerned that you might miss the ‘perfect will’ of your Lord?
Stand still, and see the salvation of God! He knows the way for you to travel and He knows just where He needs you to be to accomplish the work He has for you. He will direct your every path, every day, when you call out to Him
Each new day brings it own decisions for you. It is so wonderful to know that we are not left on our own, to blunder through life, hoping that we make the right choice. If we are His child, then we feel the guidance of the Holy Spirit, continually. If we decide to chose our own way, or consult with flesh and blood, we turn His guidance aside for our self-will. But if we abstain from making our own choices, He will direct every step of our path, every hour of every day, every day of every year of our life. Do you wish to be guided by Him? Then you shall be led each step of the way. When you commit your way to the Lord, He will direct your steps so that you do not get lost in all the confusion of this world. Turn a deaf ear to the noises and voices of this earth, trust in the Lord, and He will bring you safely to the other shore. Think about the story of the disciples on the stormy sea, they were afraid, but when Jesus appeared, He calmed the storm and took them over to the place where He needed them to work.
But note to whom this promise is made. Read the previous verse: "If you draw out your soul to the hungry." We must feel for others, and give them, not a few dry crusts, but such things as we ourselves would wish to receive. We are told to “Love your neighbor as yourself”. Jesus said, ‘Inasmuch as you do it to the least of these, you have done it to me’. If we show tender care for our fellow man in the hour of their need, then the Lord will attend to our necessities, and make Himself our continual Guide.
Jesus is our Guide, our Leader, who desires nothing less for His children than the very best. He will never leave nor forsake us.
Trust Him, Obey His Word and you will never lose your way!
