Have you learned a lesson?
Something which brings you joy?
Do you have a talent?
To encourage some girl or boy?
Please, do not simply keep it safe,
Locked inside your head.
Put it into practice now
And pass it on instead.

There is an important fact of life.
The young learn from the old.
Our travel through this world,
Has taught us many things.
We may think they are not worth sharing,
But you may hold the key
That unlocks a youngster’s heart
For all eternity.

A gentle word, an act of kindness
The fact you took some time
To share your talent
Or pass along a simple way
To accomplish some small task.
How to create a work of art,
May give a young life a new start
Help them ask Christ into their heart?
