Rock of Ages

Rock of Ages
Cleft for me,
Let me hide myself in Thee,
Let the water and the blood
From thy wounded side which flowed
Be of sin, the double cure,
Cleanse from sin and make me pure!

Jesus came into this world to offer hope to the hopeless. As He walked through this world he showed forth the love and compassion from His Father to the downcast, the needy, the sick, the leper, the blind, the lame, the hungry and the thirsty and to those who were in bondage to sin and the devil. Basically EVERYONE. He freely gave to anyone who would simply ask, reaching out to Him as He passed though their life. He taught of love, mercy and forgiveness as evidence of the Godly love which He brought to all mankind.
But the people chose to continue in their bondage to sin and to Rome, rather than accept a new and a better way of hope for eternal life. They rejected the Son of God who had come to give them an abundant life and an eternal life with Him in heaven. They refused the Christ who had only done good things for them. They refused to let Him reign in their life but cried out, instead, “Crucify Him”.
He suffered and died that we, anyone who would receive Him as Savior, might live. He was rejected by those whom He loved, and even so today, many are still turning their backs on His love offering, choosing to continue in their own selfish, sinful ways which will lead to eternal death.
We are offered eternal life and a hope in this life, a promise Christ gave us of peace and joy in our hearts and eternal life.

John 3: 15,16,17; In order that everyone who believes in Him –who cleaves to Him, trusts Him and relies on Him—may not perish, but have eternal life and live forever! For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He gave up His only-begotten Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish –come to destruction, be lost, but have eternal, everlasting life. For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge—to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on--- the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him. (Amplified version)

Psalms 92: 1,2,4; It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises to thy name, O most High; to show forth thy loving kindness in the morning and your faithfulness every night. For you, Lord, have made me glad through your work; I will triumph in the works of your hands.

Make the right choice!! Choose the Rock of Ages, and eternal life with Him.
