As I prepare once again for the journey across this great country, traveling from East to West this time, my soul is filled with mixed emotions. It is always so very difficult to leave some of my loved ones, the friends which I have found here, and the church families which have become such a wonderful blessing to me. At the same time, it is always great joy to anticipate seeing the ones at the other end of the trip. It is a hard trip on the body to travel 2400 miles, this time in a Penske truck.
But the joy of knowing in my Spirit that I am following God's will for my life, supersedes all the other feelings.
My family, both physical and spiritual, mean so much to me, but the fact remains, that I must be obedient to my Lord. He purchased my redemption through great physical pain and suffering, for me He bled and for me He died and for me He rose victorious over death, hell and the grave. I can do nothing less than be obedient to His voice within my soul.
God is good! God is great!! God is my fortress, in Him will I trust.
I do look forward to the awesome views of Gods great creation which we will see across the miles.
From the rolling hills of Ohio to the farm lands of Indiana, Illinois, Iowa and Nebraska. So much the same yet so vastly different as only God can make them. Then to enter Wyoming and seem to be on top of the world as the view spreads from sky to sky. Entering Utah with the majestic mountains and abruptly descending into the Great Salt Lake Desert is an experience I never forget, then to suddenly enter the deserts of Nevada and just as quickly it seems, we are in the great and glorious mountains of California. The scenery and vistas are all and each one so wonderful, words do not tell the complete story.
God's creation is just simply AWESOME!! MAGNIFICENT!! GLORIOUS!!
BUT!!
We must NOT worship this great beauty! We must ALWAYS worship the great Creator!!
Men, humans, make the mistake often of creating idols of the things which were simply created, as we were.
Created by an all knowing, all powerful, every where present God, the great I AM.
For one, I will never cease to stand in awe of Him and of all which He has created!
And I am confident that I will continue to write this blog, so thank you for visiting with me.
